Animal Caretaker - Piglet Production

We at Gris och Kalv Sjöbo are looking for a new pig caretaker for our farrowing and growth department. We have just over 400 sows in production and run a piglet production located between Tomelilla and Sjöbo.

About the position: The employment is 75-100% depending on preferences and qualifications. It is certainly an advantage if you have previous experience in pig production or other work with animals. However, the most important thing is that you are genuinely interested in animals, positive, eager to learn, and have a good eye for animals. You should enjoy working both alone and with others.

The working hours are mostly during the day, but during the farrowing week, approximately every third week, evening shifts until 8 PM will occur. You will also work according to a rotating schedule with work every other weekend.

Examples of daily tasks: Animal care, scraping and bedding, washing, moving animals, castration, vaccination, and insemination.

We expect you to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
